This article discusses wiring MX flasher modules and confirming the operating mode selected.
Product applicability
The following products are discussed in this article:
- MX Series: R920-MX, R829-MX, R247-MX and CHEVRON-MX
There are two reasons why your beacon will flash continuously when powered up:
- Operating mode is set to Always On (default for all flasher modules aside from RRFBs)
- Flasher module is incorrectly wired at the flasher module and/or power module
Operating Mode
- Change using the MX Field App based on your application:
- Always On – beacon(s) will flash 24 hours a day.
- Dusk-to-Dawn – beacon(s) flash continuously during nighttime only.
- Trigger/Standby – beacon(s) are activated by a push button or external trigger, such as
pedestrian sensor. - Schedule – beacon(s) flash based on a user generated schedule.
Wiring
- Four conductor cable terminates in power module and at the flasher module
- TO OTHER MODULE(S):
- YE = yellow
- WH = white
